Sophie Bellemare, B.Sc. (Hons.)

Ph.D. Candidate (Research / Intervention) — Clinical Neuropsychology

Sophie began her Ph.D. (Research / Intervention, Clinical Neuropsychology option) at the University of Montreal in September 2021, under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Lippé. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Psychology from the University of Montreal, with a prior background in occupational therapy. Her thesis project focuses on the links between sleep, sensory processing, and early neurocognitive development, using EEG data from a longitudinal cohort.

She is the recipient of several distinctions, including a training scholarship from FRQS, a CIHR CGS-M award, and a research excellence scholarship from the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation. Alongside her research activities, she is completing clinical training in neuropsychology with both pediatric and adult populations, as part of her doctoral program. Sophie is also involved in student training, serving as a teaching assistant and co-supervisor of an undergraduate honor thesis.

In her free time, Sophie enjoys running, crossfit, and spending time outdoors.
