Joanna Vilme

Joanna Vilme completed a bachelor's degree in cognitive neuroscience specializing in neuropsychology, Honor path, in April 2022 at the University of Montreal. As part of her Honor project, Joanna investigated brain plasticity in the visual cortex. During her academic career, Joanna worked on several research projects. She tried to better understand the facilitators and barriers in communication between healthcare professionals and people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families in the laboratory of Dr. Baudouin Forgeot D'Arc. In addition, Joanna worked on the development of a systematic review focusing on allostatic load in various psychiatric populations led by Dr. Robert-Paul Juster. She began her doctorate in clinical neuropsychology, research and intervention profile with Dr. Lippé in co-direction with Dr. Juster at the University of Montreal in September 2022. Her thesis project focuses on the impact of prenatal maternal symptoms on joint attention and stress levels in 24-month-old babies.
