Project Coordinator in Clinical Neuroscience

Charles-Olivier Martin completed, in 2016, a Ph D in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Montréal in the field of neuroimaging, cognitive aging and written comprehension with Dre Bernadette Ska. Following his Ph D, he collaborated with Dr Yves Joanette and Dre Ana Inés Ansaldo’s team on the development of the i-MEL fr (computerized Montreal Language Evaluation, French version). He is the main author of the four written and oral comprehension tasks. This tablet based application is destined to be used by francophone speech therapists, and will allow them to evaluate the language and communication of patients with neurological impairment. Since 2017, he is a research coordinator in clinical neuroscience at CHU Sainte-Justine in Dr Sébastien Jacquemont and Dre Sarah Lippé’s research teams. He is responsible for the coordination and development of phenotyping projects in neurodevelopment disorders. He manages the research teams and is responsible for collecting the study data for the following projects: investigation of genomic disorders and single nucleotide variants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, Metformin’s pharmaceutical trial in a Fragile-X population, Q1K project (recruitment and phenotyping of one thousand Quebec families with an autistic member) and the effects of genomic variants (16p and 22q) on neurobehavioral outcomes.
